President Donald Trump’s executive order banning travel and immigration from seven majority-Muslim countries is likely to end up in the Supreme Court, after a Federal Appeals Court granted a stay to review the order. Trump has said if there are terrorist attacks following the suspension of the travel ban, then the public should blame the judges and the judicial system, emphasizing the need to protect our nation. Farah Pandith, a counterterrorism expert who has served under three administrations, says efforts should be focused on blocking recruitment efforts by extremist groups. Pandith joins Soledad O’Brien to discuss the radicalization of extremists around the world and the strategies she says will help defend against future attacks.
