Missouri’s Republican Governor Eric Greitens is facing calls to resign from the leaders of his own Republican party. Despite two felony charges and accusations of sexual misconduct, Greitens insists he will not step down, calling the charges a “political witch hunt.” Political experts say the longer he remains in office the more damage he’ll do to his own party, including potentially jeopardizing the race for the U.S. Senate seat in November.
