Pictures of the Year International is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious photojournalism competitions. Washington, D.C.’s Newseum – where Matter of Fact is taped – is hosting a new exhibit displaying the world’s greatest photographs. These iconic images capture some of history’s most important moments – from the horrors of war, the struggles with race and the power of protest. Newseum director of photography Indira Williams Babic takes us on a tour.
