The late Senator John McCain was known as a maverick – a conservative Republican who was not afraid to challenge his own party. The McCain Institute is using the senator’s own words to encourage a new generation of mavericks to come out and vote in the midterms. The initiative is called #mavericksneeded. Soledad O’Brien speaks with Kurt Volker, the executive director of the McCain Institute, who says this push for young voters is not partisan.
