After days of historic protests, Puerto Rico’s embattled governor Ricardo Rosselló has resigned in the wake of a text message scandal dubbed #Chatgate. Rosselló became governor in 2017. During his term, he has dealt with criticism over his handling of the island’s debt crisis, the response to Hurricane Maria, and political corruption. Even before this latest scandal, when Soledad traveled to Puerto Rico earlier this year, his administration was facing growing frustration and mistrust from the public. In Soledad’s one-on-one interview, Rosselló admitted he’d made mistakes.
