President Donald Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement this week, sparking both domestic and international backlash. In a joint statement, the leaders of France, Germany and Italy said they regret Trump’s decision and the Paris Accord could not be renegotiated after Trump said he was going to renegotiate the “deal” to better fit the needs of Americans. Yet, major U.S. companies – such as Google, Facebook, General Electric, Shell, and others – criticized the move as a mistake with serious future repercussions. So what is the impact to the U.S. economy?
