President Trump pardoned “Scooter” Libby last week, saying he was “treated unfairly” after being found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. Former federal prosecutor Peter Zeidenberg worked on the Libby case during the 17 years he worked at the Department of Justice. He says it’s “flatly untrue” that the conviction was unwarranted and believes Trump did this to send a message.
