Is everything you know about the Civil War wrong? According to Christy Coleman, probably yes. As CEO of the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, VA, she’s responsible for preserving the history of the Union and the Confederacy. But as an African American woman, she’s faced backlash from community members who say they are uninterested in “fringe” perspectives. Correspondent Jessica Gomez traveled to Richmond to hear her story.
