Democratic presidential candidates are headed for their next test in the race for the nomination. Not only is next Tuesday the biggest single day of voting in the primary process, candidates will have to prove they can do well in states with more diversity. While African Americans are by no means a monolith, they do share some priorities. According to a recent survey of African American voters, the most important quality in a candidate is the ability to beat President Donald Trump. Soledad O’Brien sits down with one of the polls conductors, University of Massachusetts Amherst political professor Tatishe Nteta.
