In Virginia, home of the NRA, Democrats who took over the general assembly last November, are proposing historic gun control legislation. Many of the bills, are expected to be signed into law. Among them, universal background checks, a red flag bill that allows authorities to remove firearms from those deemed a threat, and a bill giving local municipalities the power to ban guns in some public places. The most controversial bill, an assault weapons ban, was tabled for study and prompted dozens of cities and counties to declare themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries. Now, as Correspondent Jessica Gomez tells us, some, even in law enforcement, are bracing for what happens next.
