Now, Retired Army Major General Dana Pittard, who commanded that mission, along with Retired Air Force Master Sergeant Wes Bryant, who was on the ground in Iraq, have written a new book. Hunting the Caliphate: America’s War on ISIS and the Dawn of the Strike Cell, is an honest and harrowing account of how fighting ISIS in Iraq changed modern warfare forever.
